PELTAC

Peltac is the Goa'uld word referring to the bridge, or control center, of a Goa'uld mothership. A control pedestal allows access to most of the ship's functions. The main viewing screen of the peltac uses a force field because there is no transparent material capable of withstanding the velocity or temporal displacement of hyperspace travel.
