P7J-989 was destroyed by a chemical disaster 1022 years ago as a result of advancing technology and was rendered uninhabitable. The inhabitants placed themselves in suspended animation in virtual reality devices, and they were able to survive as the planet regenerated itself. The planet is now a fertile garden world, home to the Keeper and his Residents.
