MELOSHA

Melosha is the daughter of Tuplo, the High Councilor of the Land of Light. She was among the members of the population who were afflicted by a highly contagious histaminolytic virus which caused physical and behavioral changes similar to primitive man, and she was banished to the dark side of the planet with others who had been "touched" by the disease. Daniel had tried to rescue her, but he contracted the disease himself. When a cure was found, Melosha and the others were reunited with their families.
